Man Skilz Program
The Man Skilz Program is designed to mentor and support men, recognizing that many men lack the strong support systems women often have. During difficult times, men may feel they have no one they can be honest with or confide in, leading to feelings of stress, anger, depression, and more. This program seeks to change that by providing a space for men to grow and become better leaders for their wives, families, communities, and ultimately, to become world changers.
Volunteers mentor men on how to be better individuals—how to treat women with respect, be good parents, and navigate life's challenges. We also partner with a Christian counselor to address any behaviors that may hinder their progress. Mentors share their personal experiences, offering insight into how they’ve overcome obstacles. This is an ongoing program that can last from months to years, providing long-term support.
Through the program, men form strong, supportive friendships where they hold each other accountable and stand by one another during tough times. They learn how to pray, lean on the Word of God, and support not only themselves but also their families, friends, leaders, and communities.
We also address practical skills that many men may not have learned, teaching them how to tie a tie, change a tire, perform basic home repairs like fixing a leaky faucet, hang a picture, and more.
We are incredibly grateful for the male volunteers who make this program successful by sharing their time, being open and honest, and using their successes and struggles to help others overcome challenges. These men meet monthly for dinner and discipleship.
