Comfort Keepers Program

Comfort Keepers Program

The Comfort Keepers Program has recognized an increased need for volunteers to visit and spend time with the elderly and disabled. With rising healthcare costs, many caregivers, seniors, and disabled individuals are unable to afford the care they need, often having to choose between food, medications, or companionship. They may also struggle to leave the house for social interaction, and some caregivers simply need a few hours of respite (short period of rest) but can’t leave their loved ones alone.
Our volunteers visit individuals who qualify for the program, offering companionship and assistance. Volunteers can help with tasks like changing sheets, running errands such as picking up groceries or medications, or simply sitting and chatting. If the individual is able, volunteers may also take them out for a meal or engage in fun activities like board games.
It's important to note that our volunteers are not nurses or medical professionals and cannot provide medical assistance or advice, other than calling for help if necessary.
We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers who have a heart to help others. We are always seeking volunteers who are honest, have strong character, integrity, and a compassionate spirit for those in need of companionship or a break. A background check is conducted on all volunteers to ensure the safety of those we serve.
